Register now for the Tennessee City Management Association's Spring Conference, to be held March 28-31, 2017 in the Franklin, Tennessee. With the arrival of Springtime, it's a great time to be in Middle Tennessee and to enhance your knowledge and professional skills. Plus it provides an opportunity to meet or reconnect with other local governments administrators from across the State and with our sponsors in attendance.

The event will be held at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs Conference Center, located at 700 Cool Springs Blvd in the Cool Springs area. This retail and employment center (located on both sides of I-65 between exits 67-69) includes the Galleria shopping mall, hotels, office buildings, big box retailers, apartments, condominiums, restaurants, etc.

Beginning Wednesday morning and ending by Noon on Friday, there will be 2 1/2 days of educational programs and social/networking activities. The conference registration desk opens on March 29 at 8:30 AM (Central) with sessions starting at 9:00 AM. The focus on Wednesday morning will be State government with the Commissioners of the Departments of Revenue and Transportation to speak and answer questions.

Want to See Firsthand Innovative Projects in Franklin?
For attendees that arrive on Tuesday, there will be an opportunity to tour innovative developments and public facilities in Franklin on March 28, from 2-5 PM. If you are interested, please indicate on the registration form because participation will be limited to 25 or the size of the Franklin Transit bus. 

Are You a Newer Professional Member or Student Interested in a Career in Local Government? 
An opportunity will be provided on Wednesday from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM to network in a small lunch group setting with a "seasoned" City Manager where you can talk informally, ask questions, and develop new contacts in the profession. Please note on your registration form if you are interested in participating or leading a group.
  
Spouses/Partners Are Encouraged to Attend! 
There is no registration fee for spouses or significant partners of professional members to attend (except for the optional Thursday luncheon). Separate from the main conference, there will be an informal gathering on Wednesday afternoon from 3:00-4:30 PM for member spouses and partners to connect and discuss common issues.

Social Event
On Wednesday evening, from 6:00-9:15 PM, registered conference attendees will have to opportunity to attend Music City Roots, Live From The Factory. Nashville's acclaimed variety show is recorded live on Wednesday nights and showcases Nashville's music scene, from country to more progressive sounds. Details on this ticketed event and a link for attendees to register is below. Your ticket will include transportation, buffet dinner, drink tickets, and reserved seating for the show. Spouses and partners are welcome to attend.


Cancellations
No registrations fees will be refunded for requests received after Monday, March 20, 2017. Any reimbursement request must be submitted by email to Mike Walker - Walker@TNCMA.org.
