Spring conference registration is now open.  Registration is now open for the Tennessee City Management Association spring conference on April 11-13, 2018, in Murfreesboro. This conference provides an outstanding opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills for successful municipal management and provides a setting to professionally network with other managers, administrators, and assistants from across the state, as well as TCMA sponsors in attendance.

The conference takes place at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 1200 Conference Center Boulevard, which is adjacent to the Avenues, an open-air regional lifestyle shopping center with more than 100 stores comprising nearly one million square feet of retail space.  All hotel rooms are two-room suites with a complimentary evening reception and free made-to-order breakfast for guests.  The TCMA rate is $159.00 per night.

Beginning Wednesday morning and ending by noon on Friday, there will be 2 1/2 days of educational programs and social/networking activities. The conference registration desk will open on April 11 at 7:15 a.m. (Central) with the first session starting at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

New members and students interested in a career in municipal government.  An opportunity will be provided on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. to network in a small lunch group setting with a "seasoned" city manager where you can talk informally, ask questions, and develop new contacts in the profession. Please note on your registration form if you are interested in participating or leading a group.

Spouses/partners are encouraged to attend. There is no fee for member spouses/partners to participate in the conference, with the exception of the Thursday luncheon at a cost of $20. Separate from the main conference, there will be an informal gathering on Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. for spouses and partners to connect and discuss common issues.

Wednesday night social event.  The Wednesday night social event will be held at  the Fountains at Gateway, a new 31-acre Class A office and retail development situated around a central plaza with multiple fountains, walking paths and pocket parks.  Tickets are available until April 4.  A deluxe ticket, which includes beer/wine, is available for $18.00 per person.  A regular ticket (non-alcoholic beverages only) is available for $14.00.

Special thanks are afforded to the following TCMA sponsors that have generously underwritten this event:
